Over the last two decades, Janey Brown has performed in front of thousands of people, penned and published songs with Grammy award-winning and multi-platinum producers, and has provided performance coaching and vocal production to a diverse array of musical artists. She also has years of experience teaching movement, mindfulness and mental resilience to corporate executives, as well as some of the most renowned athletes in the NHL.
As a result of battling severe performance anxiety for many years in her music career, Brown’s passion revolves around helping people face their fears to unchain their greatest potential, and educate audiences on psychology and mental health. What was once her debilitating fear is now the fuel that operates Fearce Academy, a wellness company she built to help entertainers, athletes, speakers, leaders, and entrepreneurs conquer imposter syndrome, self-doubt, and perfectionism so they can radiate confidence in front of any audience.
Since launching Fearce Academy in 2017, Brown has impacted people of all ages and demographics across North America with her mental health education and motivational keynotes. She has appeared on the stages of SXSW and Toronto Metro Convention Centre, on networks such as CityTV, WBTV (CBS) and TSN and worked with global corporate empires such as CBRE, Manulife, Under Armour.
Brown holds a formal education in psychology and has completed 100 hours of trauma studies, equipping her with the academic knowledge and tools to provide a scientifically informed, holistic approach to mental health. When she isn’t coaching, performing, or educating, she’s continuously advancing her expertise in her Masters of Counseling Psychology Program to better serve her community.
Her mission is simple: Uplift others so they can uplift others.
"TURN YOUR FEAR TO FUEL AND TRANSFORM INTO THE MOST RESILIENT, CONFIDENT AND IMPACTFUL LEADER OR PERFORMER YOU CAN BE, WITH FEARCE ACADEMY’S EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE-BASED COACHING."
